OOTD: Golf Attire

This picture is absolutely terrible quality and focus and I'm gonna work on trying to get pictures for OOTD but it'll do for now. This semester for PE I took golf. This past week we had to take all the information we learned over the semester and go play a round of golf. I was most excited about my outfit haha. I wore a white Izod polo and a Vineyard Vines patchwork golf skirt. I scored the skirt and polo from a consignment store in Raleigh which I talk about here in my old blog. Below is the skirt:

My New Baby

As I posted earlier, the Easter Bunny gave me some cash to buy a new purse for the spring/summer. I checked Marshall's, Macy's, and Belk before deciding on this adorable hot pink tote from Kate Spade. I kept calling it my new baby and then found out when I was trying to find a picture online of it that it is actually a baby bag! Turns out this is the Kate Spade Sophia Grace baby bag, but I love it anyways. The bags are currently Kate Spade's website but in different colors for $158.00. I paid only $117.00 for it on the clearance rack at Belk. Needless to say, I am super excited for my new  bag and can't wait to clean out my current bag and switch over to this baby.

OOTD: Easter

During church my boyfriend, Wesley, leaned over and whispered "I can't believe your not wearing Lilly Pulitzer for Easter" ...jokes on him, I was haha. I wore the Kiri Dress from Lilly Pulitzer in Mambo Pink. I bought it for half the price on the Lilly Online Sale the beginning of 2014. Below is the dress from the Lilly Lookbook that came out last year.

.

I paired my Lilly dress with a necklace of mutiple pearl strands, bubble pearl earring, a stack of pearl bracelets from Charming Charlie's, and my nude GUESS peep toe heels.

The easter bunny was good to me this Easter. I got a Southern Marsh t-shirt, Lilly Pulitzer koozie, money for a new purse, and candy. However, it did forget to get a basket so it improvised with a plastic plate.

And lastly my sweet boyfriend bought me a crown Easter basket filled with candy, nail polish, and face masks. He also went to the boutique that I worked at last summer in our hometown and got me a neon off the shoulder top and matching earrings, with the help of the sales associate of course.

Bridal Fashion Show

A few weeks ago I was asked to be a model for a local bridal boutique's fashion show at a bridal expo. Of course I wasn't gonna pass up getting my hair and makeup done by a professional and model off gorgeous dresses. I stopped by for a fitting friday and tried on a bunch of dresses. I didn't realize how different formal dress sizes were. I desperately need to eat better so I can get back into a 6 but I tried on dresses from 8 to 10. Some fit, some were too tight, and some were too big regardless that they were all the same size. Anyways I finally settled on three dresses: a white wedding dress, a black silk bridesmaid dress, and a long  chiffon turquoise bridesmaid dress. Above is the white wedding dress, I wish I could remember the designer. Below are some pictures from the fashion show, I didn't get a good picture of my black dress.

Cooler Painting: Roommate's 21st Birthday Edition

There is nothing I like more than painting these coolers. They look like a lot of work but I love painting and being able to be creative. My roommate's birthday was this week and I instantly knew I wanted to paint her a cooler. I spray painted the whole thing white except the top because it was already white. I then painted each side one by one with some sort of a blue color. The paint chipped a lot because I didn't sand it before I spray painted it. Above is the front, back, and sides. Below is the top and corners.

Upcycled Pallet

I was very crafty over my spring break. I worked from 9 until 10 every day crafting things and didn't regret it one bit. One of my many project was taking apart two wood pallets and making old barn signs out of the boards. I googled some witty sayings about tractors and farm things and came up with about 20 signs. Th paint I used was simple acrylic craft paint and I put backings on them. The signs in the picture say: "John Deere", "She Thinks My Tractors Sexy", Why Farm at all Unless You Farmall?" and lastly "farmer/noun: one who is outstanding in his field." I made others that said things like "Manure Happens", "Rock Me Mama Like A Wagon Wheel", and "Life's a Garden. Dig It!" I sold them at the local Farm Show that weekend for 15 or 2 for 25. I sold ones that I didn't think would ever sell. I ended up making about 65 bucks which I was more than happy about because I was considering them not selling at all. The rest will probably be put in an Etsy store that I'll set up.

Influenster UniVoxBox Unboxing

Guess what came in the mail!? If you guessed influenster voxbox or read the blog title or saw the picture above then you are correct haha. Influenster.com is a site where you fill out surveys to be awarded badges. After you accumulate a few badges you are picked to receive a voxbox. The voxboxes are free and meant to be sent to you to be reviewed. This particular box was sent to me because I am a college student and it is catered to college students. Side Note- If you use influenster don't get dissapointed if you don't instantly get picked for a box. I had completely given up on influenster and they sent me a box a month later and I was so excited!

The slip in the box is above and the back is below. The slip just simply states what it is and what is in the box.

The Products:

Expert Last Lip Color in Forever Fuschia: 1.99
Ready to take your lips to the next level? Try our NEW Expert Last Lip Color in twenty tantalizing shades. Get intense amplified color and shine that lasts up to 6 hours! Our moisturizing formula glides on easily for a silky, smooth, velvety finish for all day wear.
I LOVE this lipstick and the color. I never expected NYC to have such a great lipstick line. It has great color payoff and pigmentation. I had recently heard about this line from watching a YouTube video of someone using it and wanted to try it so this was a perfect chance.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation: $4.99-$5.49
Lightweight liquid mousse texture skin shineless, yet feels weightless & cakeless. The weight is over-finally shine had met its matte. Available in 8 shades.
I haven't actually used this foundation on my face yet but I tried it on my hand. I loved the mousse feeling of it. It's very airy and fresh but also great payoff. I recommend getting a color lighter than you are because I've been tanning lately and I've gotten a lot more tanner and the light ivory was a perfect match.

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-On Manicure: 5.99 for colors, 7.99 for patterns
imPRESS Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails is the revolutionary way to achieve a flawless manicure in seconds. Just peel off, press on, and you're done-NO glue needed! High-shine colors, trendy designs, and glam glitter nails that last up to a week! Available at Walgreens, Walmart, CVS, Kmart, Rite-Aid, & Target.
I've tried these nails before and liked them. They're easy to use and so much more less time consuming than getting a manicure and using nails with glue.

Pilot Acroball PureWhite: $4.59 per 3 pack/$6.24 per 4 pack/ $7.49 per 5 pack
Acrobal PureWhite combines a glossy white barrel with Spring Pantone inspired grip colors and smooth writing advanced ink, which combines the vibrant color of gel with the quick drying benefits of ballpoint ink so you can write effortlessly.
I am a sucker for great pens. As a Fashion Merchandising major I think it's so cool that they are using grips inspired by Spring Pantone colors. But I wish I didn't get orange. I love the pen but it already started spotting.

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance 3.99-4.99
Play without Limits. Introducing NEW Playtex Sport Fresh Balance with Odor Shield technology. It's designed to neutralize odors for ultimate freshness on and off the field. Combined with a 360 design for Sport Level Protection you can go the distance. Play On.
I can't saw much about this product because I haven't used it yet. But the new scent of them filled up the whole box and hit me as soon as I opened it. It's not powerful but very fresh.

Red Rose REAL TEA Premium Water Enhancer $4.49
Finally-a water enhancer with no dyes or coloring that's made from real brewed tea. Make boring water taste tea-riffic with REAL TEA from Red Rose.
I haven't tried this product yet but I love these squirt bottles. I plan to review this product soon!
