Obsessed: The Carrie Dairies

Have you ever been so captivated by a TV show that you have to watch a whole season on Netflix in one day? I don't mean just watched a whole season while doing other things, I mean actually watched a whole season and couldn't look away. The Carrie Diaries was on Netflix and I had just finished Gossip Girl so I wanted to fill my empty hole in my heart. It exceeded all of my expectations that I had. I'm not sure if it's the characters, the story plot, or AnnaSophia Robb's acting. I never liked any of her other films but she is amazing The Carrie Diaries. Also if you grew up in the 80s, lived through the 80s, or just like 80s music then you will love how they throw in 80s songs during the episodes. If you have Netflix or if you see The Carrie Diaries playing on the CW then you should definitely watch it.

The Beginning...

Have you ever been to a point in life where you ask yourself "what am I doing with my life." I have that moment often, especially because I'm in my junior year of college. I'm a fashion major, and before you ask what am I going to do with my degree I'll go ahead and stop you there. I HAVE NO IDEA! I've been a inspiring fashion student my whole life. When other little girls were asked what they wanted to be when they grew up they usually reply with a dancer, the president of the USA, baker, princess, etc. My reply was always to be a fashion student. I drew clothes on women for most of my life, but they were usually the same shirt and jeans or a gown. Through high school I put it in the back of my head and focused on things like cheerleading, boys, tv shows, music, and NOT school work. I am an average student, no matter if I study as hard as I can or not try at all. I will always be a B or C student. Nothing school related peaked my interest either. History has too many terms, science...why even try, math is clearly and never will be for me, english was interesting sometimes but writing papers is not my thing...I think your getting the pattern. NOTHING was interesting to me, at least not to have a career in. So as senior year approached and it was time to apply to schools I started to panic a little. I decided maybe a degree in business would be a good fit for me. Then as I applied I had to choose one out of two schools. One was in the boondocks and the other was in the capital of the state I live in. Of course I chose the one in the middle of the city. I also gave up on a business degree because well EVERYONE is getting a business degree. The school I applied to and was accepted to had a list of degrees and as I read each one I found the winner...Fashion Merchandising. A little bit of design classes, a little bit of business, and a WHOLE lot of fashion! What could be better!? The only problem with my major is the job I could have when I graduate. I could either have a huge job as a buyer or visual merchandiser. On the other hand I could get out of school and be a store manager, which isn't worth the money I (my parents ha) paid for my education. This blog is to help me track my journey, display my loves, and hopefully at the end I'll be a huge fashion celebrity.
